CCU Interiors was established in 2005 by Colleen Callinan Ueland, whose thoughtful approach to design and unwavering commitment to client relationships have led to longstanding partnerships with respected regional and national brands alike.

After earning her B.A. in History from Kenyon College, Colleen pursued a Master’s degree in Art History and Museum Studies through the distinguished joint program between Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Museum of Art. She began her career in business development with Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago before joining Baker Furniture, where she worked within the company’s wholesale division, Baker Knapp & Tubbs.

Now based in North Carolina’s Triangle region for more than 25 years, Colleen has grown CCU Interiors while also raising her three children. During the pandemic, she expanded her industry experience by serving as an Account Executive with Schumacher, representing a portfolio of luxury textiles, wallcoverings, and furnishings to the design community. Exposure to internationally recognized designers and continually evolving collections further reinforced her belief that a thoughtfully designed home has a profound impact on how people live, gather, and feel.

Colleen’s aesthetic is rooted in understated elegance — creating interiors that feel serene, layered, and effortlessly livable. Her work balances simplicity and warmth with refined sophistication, resulting in homes that are equally suited for intimate family living and gracious entertaining.

Known for her energy, professionalism, and entrepreneurial spirit, Colleen is deeply committed to delivering exceptional client service. Through a highly personalized and collaborative approach, she strives to create timeless interiors while offering both transparency and value throughout the design process.
